Hastings Girls’ High School

Hastings Girls’ High School sits in the heart of Hastings and has a proud record of educational leadership, including receiving the Prime Minister’s Award for Education Excellence.

The school engaged Quest Marketing to gain a deeper understanding of its audiences and the changing dynamics of the secondary-school marketplace. The brief was to clarify who the school needed to speak to, what mattered most to them, and how Hastings Girls’ could clearly articulate its point of difference.

The project began with a combination of quantitative and qualitative research, culminating in an in-depth insights report. From these findings, Quest developed a three-year strategic marketing direction focused on strengthening enrolment outcomes and future-proofing the school’s positioning.

Central to the strategy was authentic storytelling. Quest produced a series of real-world video stories that brought the school’s values, culture and learning environment to life. This was supported by clear, confident copywriting to define positioning and articulate what makes Hastings Girls’ distinctive. A brand refresh followed, alongside a targeted approach to promoting the school within key local catchments.

Working closely with the Principal, Business Manager and Board, Quest delivered a comprehensive programme of work. This included a refreshed brand mark, high-engagement video and photography content, redesigned print collateral, and a modern, mobile-friendly website showcasing key programmes. The site was built with SEO best practice, integrated analytics, and clear enquiry pathways.

Quest continues to support Hastings Girls’ High School with ongoing strategic guidance, digital campaign delivery, and social media training and support ensuring the school’s story remains visible, relevant and compelling in a competitive education landscape.
