Hastings Girls’ High School
Hastings Girls’ High School is a long-established secondary school in the heart of Hastings with a proud history of educational leadership, including receiving the Prime Minister’s Award for Education Excellence.
Hastings Girls’ High School engaged Quest to better understand changing parent expectations and the increasingly competitive secondary-school landscape. The goal was to clarify the school’s positioning, strengthen community perception, and support future enrolment growth.
Quest began with quantitative and qualitative research, leading to a detailed audience insights report and a three-year strategic marketing direction.
At the centre of the strategy was storytelling. We produced a series of authentic video stories designed to showcase the school’s culture, values and learning environment in a relatable and human way.
The wider programme included:
Quest worked closely with the Principal, Business Manager and Board throughout the project.
The campaign helped significantly lift community engagement and visibility for the school, including:
A refreshed and strategically positioned school brand with a strong digital presence, clearer storytelling, and a marketing framework designed to support long-term enrolment success.

40,000+ Stakeholder Engagements
“Quest worked alongside us and were able to dig deep into perspectives that we would never have been able to do ourselves. It started with extensive marketing research. Quest sat alongside us and our board and supported us with decision making. What did that look like? A rebrand, marketing campaigns, international marketing and video stories. We know that our campaigns reached over 40,000 people. That’s incredible. It has been one of the best decisions that I’ve made."
