Our focus was to deliver an 18 month project developing Northland’s specialty niche food and beverage sector and emerging world class gate to plate products.
Quest was contracted by Enterprise Northland and BizNorth to build business capability and product development across the food sector, part of a New Zealand Trade & Enterprise major regional initiative.
Quest delivered a series of workshops and one-on-one business mentoring sessions in Dargaville, Kerikeri and Whangarei. Over 50 business representatives attended the seminar series to further support the sector. Quest worked closely with Lyn Barnes (former editor of Cuisine Magazine) throughout the project, Lyn is the driving force behind Northland’s food development initiative.
Northland is a unique region. Not only is it the birthplace of the nation, where settlers planted the first grapes, olives and fruit trees, but it is also home to giant kauri forests, miles of stunning coastline and iconic Cape Reinga.
