As part of the Ministry of Tourism funded STAR programme, Quest was contracted by the Hawke's Bay Economic Development Agency to deliver sustainable business advice and development.
Going green is all too costly and time consuming .. right? Wrong.
The key thing to remember is that the sustainability is not about forcing you to do things that don’t fit your business. In other words, if it is simply not practical to implement certain sustainable recommendations right now then don’t worry. There is always next year, or the year after. In addition, action plans will naturally change over time in any case as your business develops and new opportunities arise.
The process is more often than not enlightening and totally rewarding. We recommend trialing new eco-friendly products too as you have become aware of them. Without exception, the products introduced to date have saved money and delivered impressive results.
The Cape Kidnappers Wilderness Preserve development is a prime example of sustainable business practice in motion. It's primary focus is to help save the endangered North Island Brown Kiwi. Quest has been privaleged to be involved in some of the strategic planning to further the development of this exciting wilderness project.
